What is the New Normal?

What is the new normal?

So it’s been a while since we posted on here, and the last few weeks have been a little bit of a blur to be honest. We’re sure you all feel the same in many ways. We wanted to take this opportunity to give you a little insight into what we’ve been up to, and also take the chance to thank everyone from customers to event organisers to new business platforms for all of your support.

Our business has always been led by events, and we love nothing more than being out and about meeting all of our wonderful customers and spending time with the other fantastic small businesses who like us work so hard to produce some of the tastiest food and drink around. So when the pandemic hit in March and the country went into lockdown, we had a momentary panic as we realised we needed to find a ‘new normal’.

Quickly we jumped into action as we saw web traffic rising. We added a range of Care Packages (click here to  shop Care Packages) to our website, which have been particularly popular, and continue to be. They offer a great selection of our range, perfect as a treat for friends and family or even for yourself. We’ve continued to add new products and have more planned for the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.

We’ve been delighted with the support received from all of the amazing event organisers who have had to cancel and postpone events right through the year. We’re still waiting to see what the next few months bring for us in terms of events, as the country starts to exit lockdown. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to see some of you wonderful people before the year is out! In the meantime, virtual events seem to be the new normal. We’d encourage you to check out the following sites who we’ve worked with throughout the past three months.

You’ll be surprised how many small businesses there are out there, and all are selling online the same as us. Remember, shopping small helps keep the economy moving, and we know from experience just how much it means when a purchase is made. And if you’re not ready to purchase now, make sure you follow brands on social media. If anyone fancies sharing our pages, we’d be particularly grateful. And if like us you love discovering new brands and products, then make sure you check out www.swishforit.com in particular. This innovative new platform offers you the perfect chance to curate your own high street full of your favourite brands and products and their Showcase event launches this weekend, 3rd July. We’re excited, and have a fantastic launch weekend offer poised to go live.

Next steps for us are to look at updating our website, and we’d love to hear from any of our existing customers for feedback on what you like (or don’t like) and what you’d like to see from us in the future? Feel free to drop us an email shop@burtreepuddings.co.uk or message us via Facebook / Instagram.

Finally, for our local customers, also a reminder that we offer a ‘click and collect’ from the farm. You can order on the website and at shipping chose this as an option.

Here’s to the new normal and whatever the coming weeks may bring!
